The health issue I would like to present today is Lucid Dreaming.
Before we start I would like to give you a brief explanation on what lucid dreaming is. Lucid dreaming is the ability to realize you are in a dream and control the dream you are having. For example when you realize you are in a dream you can control what happens and you can be in the dream.
This issue is important because many important theories have come from lucid dreaming such as albert einstein and the principle of relativity or paul mccartney when he composed the entire melody for his song “yesterday” in a lucid dream. .
I picked this issue because lucid dreaming is an amazing phenomenon that i want to experience one day. Also can you imagine being able to control you dreams.
This issue affects teenagers because Lucid dreaming can make teens creative and can help them overcome fears and phobias. That is because there is a free flow of ideas coming from the unconscious mind.
What I learned about lucid dreaming is that it is not as simple as it looks. I think lucid dreaming is a very exciting experience because it shows the power of your mind and what you can do with it. I mean who wouldn’t want to play a sport in front of thousands of people or live in the house of your dream.
Some interesting facts about this issue are:
- Techniques of lucid dreaming are DILD,MILD and WILD. DILD is when you notice something in the dream that makes you know you are dreaming. Mild is when you convince you are going to lucid dream tonight and when you are in a dream you will instantly know you are dreaming. Wild is when you trick your mind into thinking you are asleep which will bring you into a dream.
- When we are dreaming we are in a stage called R.E.M (rapid eye movement) it helps us not act out our dreams in real life. But sometimes we may not be in R.E.M mode and that’s how sleepwalking is caused.
- How to Lucid Dream. Step 1. Keep a dream journal 2. Convince yourself that you are going to lucid dream 3. When you are in a dream look at your hands usually in dreams you will notice that you have more or less fingers. 4. Look for un-ordinary stuff. Maybe you will be in your room for one minute then Egypt for the next. That will be an obvious sign to your mind that you are dreaming.
I believe that lucid dreaming is a very important because it helped create many groundbreaking achievements that led to the change in history . It also is a very exciting way to relieve stress.
What I think of this, this issue is important for you to know about because with this strategy you can relieve stress easier and improve memory.
