Pattakarn- Sleep

I choose to do about sleep because, sleep is really important to our life. Is really imcolor-sleeping-beauty-step-9portant because, without sleeping or lack of sleep you brain wouldn’t function properly, this cause you mental health, health issue, bad academic performances or etc. This connect to my life and others because, everyday we need sleep to make our brain function properly. This issue is relevant to me because, as a student I need my brain to function properly so I can learn properly and get good grades. These effect teenagers because, most teens now sleep later than they should. To get enough sleep they need to sleep at 8:00pm or 8:30pm. Most teen tend to play their phones, laptop, watching onsleeping1line movie or YouTube and etc. And cause them to sleep late and get lack of sleep and their brain wouldn’t function properly.

I learn that to get enough sleep you need to sleep 7-9 hours. It also improves your memory, academic performances and brain function if you have enough sleep. It also improves your health because, enough sleep help you fight illness. It also improves your emotion to be better

I think that sleep is very important to our life and you should get enough sleep because, is improve your focus and academic performances. This will help me learn better and less likely to feel stress or worried. This influence me about wellness, that sleep is important and if you have lack of sleep, it cause you emotional, mental, health issue and it can be safety.

Matilda – Sleep Apnea

To know what sleep apnea is and what the signs are is very important because anyone can get it. It is important to know the symptoms and affects incase someone you know has it and you don’t know what to do.  I picked this issue because I feel like this is a very interesting topic and also I know some people who have had some of the effects. My cousin and his girlfriend are both nurses and his girlfriend once had a pacient with sleep apnea, when she told me about it I was very interested in the topic. Also, my friend once had a an affect of sleep apnea, which was really scary for her. Sleep apnea affects teenagers (and other ages) by, while they sleep, obstructing their breathing and making them take shallow breaths or pauses in breathing.

I learned that Sleep apnea can cause load snoring, abrut awakening, sore thrat and dry mouth after waking, morning headaches, insomnia (trouble staying asleep), and lastly, attention problems. I also learned that sleep apnea can increase the risk of high blood preasure, heart attack, stroke, obesity, diabetes and can increase the risk and worsen heart failure, it can also make arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats more likely. Lastly, it can increase the chances of driving and work-related accidents. In conclusion, this issue is important for you to know about because anyone can have sleep apnea and it is important to know what are some signs of it and what to do if you think youhave it. To help solve this problem, you can Make sure you are healthy and keep your weight at a normal rate. See if any of Your family had it in the past. Also, you can get sleep apnea when you are older, if you smoke, or use alcohol or sedatives to much. I used to think that sleep apnea only happened once or twice and then went away and that it was not a very important, but now I know that it is a condition and it is not something to not care about and that you should always be careful if you have symptoms.

Ozod – How Music Affects Your Daily Life

I chose this issue because I know that many people listen to a lot of music and some may not. This is important because it can affect a lot how you do in school, your IQ’s and in general the main 4 areas of health (Mental, Social, Emotional, and Physical). Furthermore, since I’m currently at a young age, it could show in better academic results. Moreover it will open more doors for me as I progress in my life such as a top university. As I said before, since I’m almost a teenager it could deeply affect my life. Moreover it could affect millions of lives of teenagers. For example it could promote a higher IQ, show better sport capabilities, improve confidence, and emotional make you feel good.

To begin with, I learned multiple things from this, one being it could improve my athletic capabilities because sports plays a big role in my life. As it affects a human body life in these beneficial ways it is important that everyone listens to music. I would deeply encourage others to listen to more music as it helps you in the main 4 areas of wellness. This is important for everyone to know as it could improve your life. Thus, it would clearly be important for me because I look forward to doing well in throughout my

Issy – How Advertisements Affect Our Physical Health

Food advertisements. Whether it’s on our phones, on TV, on the different websites we visit on a daily basis, on a billboard on the way to school, or even ones we don’t notice. We see them everyday, and I wanted to find out how they affected our health.

This issue is important because we need to be aware of what we are exposed to, and we should know about how small things can affect our lives on the biggest scale. I wanted to find out how food ads affect our dietary lifestyle, and I wanted to bring awareness to this growing problem. Advertisements have a big impact on our choices, especially our dietary ones. I hope to help you become a mindful food consumer, and to help you be more conscious of what you’re putting inside your body, based on advertisements that may be misleading.

I picked this issue because I wanted to bring awareness to how advertisements can lead to different unhealthy lifestyles. I want to be able to give solutions to this problem. I also want to show how these ads we encounter in our everyday life, may change our whole lifestyle.

Seen is a picture of a child watching TV. The hand, representing an advertisement, “grabs” the child, as if manipulating her to buy the product being advertised.

Seen is a picture of a child watching TV. The hand, representing an advertisement, “grabs” the child, as if manipulating her to buy the product being advertised.

This issue affects people all over the world, but I wanted to focus on how it directly affects teenagers. Did you know that our chances of becoming obese increases, the more hours we watch television, stay on our laptops and phones? Food advertisements directed at teenagers influence their dietary choices and requests. Almost ¾ of every food ad directed at children, advertises an unhealthy product which increases the obesity epidemic. The food advertisements on children’s shows are completely dominated by unhealthy food. 34 percent for candy and snacks, 28 percent for cereal, 10 percent for fast food, 4 percent for dairy products, 1 percent for fruit juices, and 0 percent for fruits or vegetables. Children between 8-12 receive the highest rates of ad exposure. This is when teenagers start to develop their food habits and make their own food choices. This issue affects me because I encounter advertisements everyday. I see them everywhere, and I was interested to know how they affect our lifestyle. I myself have seen a food ad, and because of that advertisement, bought the product. Some solutions for this problem are that we should be conscious of our choices, and not allow ourselves to be manipulated by the media. We should be aware of this problem, so that we may be mindful of our dietary lifestyle. We should be aware of what we intake, and maintain a healthy and balanced diet. As teenagers, we are starting to develop our eating habits, and by knowing this, we should be able to make good dietary decisions, as these shape the rest of our lives.

In conclusion, this issue is important, because we encounter advertisements every single day. This issue is important to me, because we shouldn’t let ourselves be manipulated by the media, and we should be able to make intelligent decisions that will shape the rest of our lives. Before researching about this topic, I knew that companies spent a lot of money on advertisements, but I wasn’t sure how this affected other people and made them buy the company’s product. After a lot of research, I am now able to say that I am now more knowledgeable on how advertisements work, and have found a deeper meaning and connection to food advertisements and teenagers. This affects my thinking of wellness, because before, I used to think that wellness was all about learning about our body, but now I realize wellness is a wider topic, and we encounter wellness everyday. I now realize that wellness is about how the world works around us in terms of how it affects all aspects of wellness in our lives. Now, I personally believe advertisements are a good way to show your product as a business, but as people who encounter ads everyday, we should be conscious of what we are buying, and not believe everything an ad says, without thinking about it first.

  3. Do advertisements mislead the public with the truth about smoking?  How?
  4. If someone you care about smokes, how can you support them when they try to quit?
  5. Smoking tobacco doesn’t affect anyone but the user, why is this not true?
