Lucid dreaming

Lucid dreaming is a state of mind were you can control what you do inside of a dream it is a sensation of ultimate power as well as security but as fun as it seem’s this can be very dangerouse from those who dont know how to separate the diffrence from reality and a dream.

Air Pollution Sarah-Mei

For my healthbuzz, I choose air pollution. Air pollution is all the fumes that contaminate the air, this is caused by a list of things including factories, smoking, burning of trash, and transportation(Cars, Jeepneys, etc.). I also chose air pollution because it is an issue we can all relate to, living in the Philippines, this also makes the issue relevant to me. Air pollution is a serious topic that has been around for ages, yet we have let it get worse. This has expanded myknowledge of air pollution, because I used to think that it was just a minor short term problem, but know I know that air pollution has many more effects.

Air pollution is as simple as it sounds, pollution of air, but since we breathe that air in the problem is suddenly worse. Air pollution is has many effects both short term such as; watery eyes, coughing, irritated nose, eyes, and throat. But air pollution also has long term effects such as; COPD(Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (irreversible)), Premature death, lungs cancer. Air pollution also stunts the lung growth specially from 10 years of age to adult, which lessens the lungs capacity. This has changed my thinking about many different disease, because I thought air pollution was short term, and minor, what about other diseases and issues that we are at a high risk of, what are the effects of those.

ALS – Mikey Garcia

I chose this because over the past few months the ice bucket challenge has been all over the media. I wanted to learn about what it does to a human and how it affect you. ALS stands for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis often referred to the Lou Gehrig’s Disease.Lou Gehrig was a first baseman for the NewYork Yankees from 1923 to 1939.He died on June 2 1941 with the ALS disease. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease. Neurodegenerative is a range of conditions which primarily affect the neurons in the human brain. ALS is a disease that that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.

SAMPLE MINISTER BRIEF :  HERE

Use this sample to help guide you through the writing of your ministerial brief. Party Leaders will follow the same format for their briefs with a focus on natural disaster preparedness and a brief background on the problem as a whole (as identified by their ministers).

SAMPLE PARTY LEADER BRIEF : HERE

Party leaders will have a slightly longer brief but the same time limit of 4 minutes.  Though party leaders are focusing on natural disaster preparedness, they do need to make mention of what the platform of their whole party is – what their ministers are campaigning for and how they propose to solve the issues identified.  The sample above is an exemplary one for party leaders to follow.

Reminders for submission of Briefs:

  1. Create a new document in google docs for your final brief
  2. Submit that document to turnitin on your due date
  3. Check back for comments on Turnitin to help revise your briefs before your final speech
