Sleep is a state of people’s  body and brain that are completely resting.

Sleep can help for good growth. In my country’s proverb it says “sleep brings up a child well.”

If you don’t have enough sleep, you would lose concentration, would have a poor memory, and you would feel badly.

  • Don’t take too much caffein

  • Take vitamins regularly

  • Avoid using computers like playing games before going to bed.

  • Sleep in a cool temperature
    • Do not change your wake-up time.

    • When you wake-up, get sunshine from outside.

    • Keep your body healthy

      REM Sleep

      It is an acronym from

      “Rapid Eye Movement”

      Duing in REM Sleep, the body is resting. But the brain is awake. So it is called REM Sleep.

      Non-REM Sleep

      It is simple because it is a state of sleep that both the body and brain are resting.

      Interesting Facts

    • Most people can survive for up to 2months without eating. But people can only live up to 11days without sleeping

      But In Vietnam 33 years ago, a man got sick and since then he can’t sleep until now.

      If you believe that you’ve slept well even if you haven’t, it improves your performance.

       

      Only one half of a dolphin’s brain goes to sleep at a time.

Anorexia a huge problem to teens

Anorexia has been a problem and will always be a problem if we don’t stop teens from judging themselves.  The definition of anorexia is a complex eating disorder that makes you feel like the thought of losing weight becomes more important to you than anything else. Teens judge themselves by saying “I’m to fat” this problem will stop if we work together and help each other. The way to find out you have anorexia is

  • You feel fat even though people say you are not.

  • you lie about how much you eat or hide your eating habits from others

  • you are terrified of gaining weight

Also there are two different types of Anorexia. Restricting type and purging type. Restricting type is when weight loss is achieved by following drastic diets, and fasting. Purging type is when weight loss is achieved by vomiting or laxatives. The effects of anorexia is

  • Severe mood swings

  • depression

  • lack of energy

  • slow thinking
  • poor memory

We must stop this problem by helping teens. Realise and except their body no matter what.

Aging. Its a process we all go through. We all are born with 306 bones and one cup of blood, go through puberty, jobs, back pains, arthritis, and then we pass on. It will always be like that. Although it is a tad boring and repetitive there awesome things to it. For instance, my birthday is on May 20, and this 2014 I turned 13. Thus I am a teenager. We have these stages in life, baby, child, adolescent/teenager, young adult, desperately tired worker, parent, and so on and so forth. These stages are stages of life and are what we use to gauge and level our selves. Except for Turritopsis Nutricula. That jellyfish lives forever by regenerating it’s cells. That bad boy never improves. Every person on earth is part of the 7 billion population and the aging of the world population shows global health. It helps data on diseases and global issues and what we can do to help with the advancement of the Human race

Suicide (By: Elias)

Suicide is one of the worlds biggest problems. What is suicide? Well, suicide is when a person takes his or her own life. Why do people commit suicide? Well it may be because of depression, a person close to you die’s, former attempts of suicide, and maybe other reasons. Another way people may attempt to commit suicide is because of other people. Yes, you might be thinking that we do nothing to make people go to the extent to commit suicide but it is true. Different forms of bullying may cause people to feel very depressed. Also, breaking up a close relationship may cause people to feel depressed as well. Another reason people may commit suicide is because they might be very dependent on drugs or alcohol. Usually after a break-up, people turn to alcohol and drugs because they believe it will fix the mental pain. It only makes people lean more towards suicide.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) collects data about mortality in the U.S., including deaths by suicide. In 2010, the CDC got reports of 38,364 suicides in the U.S. Every year approximately 30,000 people in the U.S. die of suicide. Also, approximately 750,000 people attempt to commit suicide in the U.S. So all these figures show that 1 in every 25 people commit suicide. Another surprising fact is that some children under 10 commit suicide as well.

In conclusion, a lot of people in the world commit suicide because many things. Suicide has mad 10th main killing reason in the U.S. Also, people can cause people to commit suicide. For example bullying a person really badly can make them really depressed and make them commit suicide. All people around the world should be aware of people close to them because if they don’t people really depressed might not tell people that they are sad and that they might go to a certain extent. Also, try not to be mean to people because this might make people fell really bad. Also, don’t continuously be mean to people because it might make them feel sad. Everybody in the world should be happy and not think of such horrid things, such as suicide.

Heart Disease- Maddie Garcia

Heart disease is the leading killer of both men and women in the U.S. Heart disease generally refers to the conditions of narrowed or blocked blood vessels that can lead to chest pain or a stroke. Other heart conditions such as infections and conditions that affect your hearts muscles, valves or beating rhythm, also are considered forms of heart disease.

how does this affect me?

My aunts husband has heart disease. He is recovering by staying healthy and active. He almost died from it last year when they found out he has it, but he is recovering now.

heart disease begins with the lining and inner layers of the heart arteries. Several factors contribute to this damage. they include:

  • smoking including secondhand smoking

  • high amounts of fat and cholesterol in the blood

  • high blood pressure

  • high amounts of sugar in the blood

  • blood vessel inflammation

Plauge begins to build up in the arteries, over time it hardens or breaks open narrowing the heart arteries causing the reduce of the flow of oxygen- rich blood to the heart.Forming Blood clots, which if big enough it can block a coronary artery which causes a heart attack.

Hypoglycemia is when your Blood Sugar (glucose) falls too low and causes you not to have enough energy.

Life Expectancy

Life Expectancy is the expected number of years left in a individual’s life at a given age, by taking a certain group of individuals (ranging from country populations to a group of students) and showing their expected survival in this many years.

Life expectancy is important because it tells you the estimated time of your survival, for example is japan, their life expectancy at 2011 estimated a normal man living there since birth will live around 82 years old, but countries that are having trouble with their health benefits such as America, they will live in average of 78.64 years in their life at 2011, undeveloped countries like North Korea will have an life expectancy under 70 years comparing it to North Korea they have 20 years of a difference to South Korea telling us that this country are having a more deaths at a younger rate as life expectancy rounds up all the country’s population including when they die.

There is nothing you can do about your, but it doesn’t mean it is correct as people sometimes die beyond the number that they are expected to live, or die at an early age, the best thing you can do is to avoid illness and eat healthy and being for fit as your life expectancy adds up expectation of life for each and every single person.

Music affects different peoples brains different ways. It mostly depends on what kind of music you like. If you like a certain type of music then play it while you work. Also, in some cases if you play a music thats different from the one you like, well then maybe thats a better music for you to work with. Now, play some music and work on your homework, who knows, you might even enjoy homework now!

Video games can be fun for everyone, but they can also effect you body in a bad way. One bad side affect is that video games can ruin your social life. Imagine playing video games all day non stop. To some people it may seem fun, but really this is terrible for your body. Your body need exercise and go out side. This is relevant because most of us are becoming teenagers and getting into video games. Although we need to also hang out in person with our friends once in a while. Even though video games can be bad for you they can also be really good. Certain video games can improve your motor skills, and your decision making. So overall too much of anything can be bad for you, but it can also benefit you in certain ways. So don’t just sit around and play video games, but go outside a have an active life too!
