What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a Chinese based medicine. Acupuncture is often used to heal unbalanced Qi (Maintains the dynamic balance of yin and yang). Acupuncture is when a doctor inserts needles into your body. The needles can’t be stuck anywhere though, there are certain areas that are supposed to be punctured.
What are some benefits of acupuncture?
-For nausea and vomiting after surgery or chemotherapy
Acupuncture can heal…
-addiction (such as alcoholism)
-carpal tunnel syndrome
Negative Effects of Acupuncture
-Accidental puncture of the lungs (most serious injury)
-Puncture of lungs = partial collapse of the lungs
-Viral hepatitis (infection)
-Can result from poor hygiene and unprofessional acupuncturists
How does it relate to teens?
-As a teenager you can be stressed really easily from numerous amounts of schoolwork, homework and extra-curriculum. Acupuncture can help relieve the stress and help you relax.
I think acupuncture is really helpful and good for relaxation even though I’ve never done it before. I believe it could be a new way to help you relax instead on intoxicating your body with drugs.
