Kim – “Practical Tips for a Healthy Lifestyle”

Think about your current lifestyle. Is it healthy or not so healthy? Are you leading a balanced life or maybe leaning to certain things too much? If so, this paragraph will help you change or improve your daily lifestyle. First of all, us teenagers, need to develop a healthy way of life so we, in the future would be more likely to succeed in any endeavor  we may want to pursue. With this in mind, I, myself always try to balance life. I do eat a healthy diet but always make sure I exercise daily whilst I squeeze in a time for an electronic or two.

A common misconception of a healthy lifestyle is always eating whole grains, running on a treadmill for an hour, no Mc.Donalds, etc. but a healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be this strict. You don’t have to always exercise on a treadmill, a simple walk with your dog could be a better alternative as this improves your bond with your pet. Sometimes you can’t resist the urge of unhealthy foods so the things I do is have a day where you eat all the food you like, such as: chocolates, Pringles, Burgers etc. I get my self sick of these foods that for the rest of the week I don’t even want to look at them. This way of eating helps you maintain this kind of diet for a longer period of time.

I used to be one of those people who thought we had to cut back on things but I realized that you can eat those foods but you just have to control the days you eat it.

A healthy lifestyle is the key to leading a successful life in the future. Here are the key points:

  • Balancing between socializing, exercising, eating and resting.
  • Eat healthy but be practical about what you want to change in your current diet. 
  • And most importantly have FUN in your way of life. 😛
